What are the advantages and disadvantages of turntable bearings compared to cross roller bearings?

The turntable bearing is a type of bearing similar to a three row roller combination rotary bearing structure. Cross cylindrical roller bearings, also known as cross cylindrical roller bearings. The turntable bearings and cross roller bearings have similarities in function and structure, such as high rigidity, high precision, high bearing system performance, and high speed, which are highly artistic expressions. Rolling elements generally use cylindrical rollers or tapered rollers, which are cross set on a single raceway. The rollers are separated from each other by retainers or washers. They have high rotational accuracy, larger load-bearing capacity, smaller external dimensions, higher rotational speed and stiffness, and are widely used. Suitable for mechanical fields such as industrial robots, welding robots, medical equipment, etc. with slightly smaller loads and lower accuracy levels. Turntable bearings and cross roller bearings have advantages in various aspects.

Advantages of turntable bearings:

The accuracy level of the turntable bearing is much higher than that of the cross roller bearing, and the radial and axial runout of the turntable bearing is much lower than that of the cross roller bearing.

2. The stiffness of the turntable bearing is greater than that of the rolling bearing, and the operating noise is lower than that of the rolling ball bearing. Therefore, in high-precision and low-noise working environments, the selection of turntable bearings is much better.

3. The turntable bearing structure is fully sealed, and the cross roller bearing is fixed rubber sealed, and the sealing performance of the turntable bearing is better than that of the cross roller bearing.

4. The bearing capacity of turntable bearings of the same size is much higher than that of cross roller bearings, and the radial size of turntable bearings is smaller than that of cross roller bearings. Turntable bearings have advantages in bearing larger loads and smaller radial dimensions.

Advantages of cross roller bearings:

1. Cross roller bearing enterprises can easily assemble in various development directions of the spindle, and can achieve large-scale production through data standardization and serialization. Assembly and use are relatively simple and convenient.

2. Cross roller bearings can withstand both radial and axial loads, so their structure is much simpler than multiple sets of combined bearings. Cross roller bearings have high rotational efficiency, low heat dissipation, and low lubricant consumption.
